Councilmember Jack Evans today expressed his deepest sympathies to the family, friends, and colleagues of Dr. Frank Kameny.

Councilmember Jack Evans today called for additional study of the proposed i–Gaming implantation plan in response to concerns raised at yesterday’s roundtable before the Committee on Finance and Revenue. 

Councilmember Jack Evans today commended his Council colleagues for passing a budget that restores all safety net funding while avoiding an increase in the income tax rate.  At the same time, he expressed concern about the District’s spending and fund balance.

Councilmember Evans today introduced the “Sense of the Council in Support of Tax Parity for Non-Resident Professional Athletes Resolution of 2011” and the “Clean Hands Amendment Act of 2011.”
