In 2008, the H Street Community Development Corporation, established the John A. Wilson Scholarship Fund to assist worthy students seeking a college education. John A. Wilson was the former Chairman of the DC City Council. Prior to that he was Councilmember for Ward 2. "John dedicated his life of public service to all residents, especially our young people. John was also instrumental in the formation of the H Street Community Development Corporation to revitalize the H Street, NW corridor, said Evans." College is expensive, and here is an opportunity to apply for assistance. Students who are DC residents graduating from DC Public and Public Charter Schools are eligible to apply.
For additional information, visit www.hstreet.org/community.html or contact Eric P. Jones at firstname.lastname@example.org or Monique Lovelace-Jones at email@example.com.
The applications must be returned postmarked no later than April 30, 2013.
